Library Thing

Activity 11 LibraryThing
This is addictive. I could make lists for everything using this and see myself sending them to lots of friends instead of retyping them everytime they ask. How do I create a link to it here? I did a list of 'meaty' Christmas picture books for read-a-loud and class discussions.

Last night I met with Pre-school parents to talk about what to read to their children. It is always exciting hearing about new readers and what they are enjoying. It is also good to be able to share favourites with them that they might not know. Many of the sure-fire success books for preschoolers are now getting on in age. Hard to believe that books such as The Tiger Who Came to Tea; The Hungry Caterpillar; Mr Gumpy's Outing, Corduroy and Where the Wild Things Are are over forty years old. Shirley Hughes' Alfie stories are old but as popular as ever.

creating a blog

Never thought I'd be doing this, but I'm always interested in reading other people's blogs and I just saw the movie Julie and Julia and the concept of blogging is used to good effect there. I'm interested in reading about children's books and literature and how they may be used in the classroom. This is my first blog as part of the Syba signs course I am doing. Is this task #2?
